minilogue xd - Preventing an external device from starting the internal sequencerUpdated a year ago
If you have the minilogue xd connected to a DAW or an external hardware sequencer and you have set them up to output MIDI Clock along with other real-time messages to it, it is likely that they will transmit a "Song Start" message every time you press play in your DAW/sequencer which will cause the minilogue xd's internal sequencer to start playing.
There may be times when you may not want the minilogue xd to behave this way and it is very simple to set the minilogue to ignore these MIDI messages.
- Press the EDIT MODE button.
- Use the PROGRAM/EDIT knob to select “GLOBAL EDIT”
- Press button 6 to select the "MIDI" page
- Press button 6 again a number of times until “En Rx Transport” is shown
- Use the PROGRAM/EDIT knob to select “Off”
That is it, the minilogue xd will now ignore any Transport MIDI messages received so its built-in sequencer will only start when you use the sequencer transport buttons on its panel.
Quick tip: Global settings like this one are automatically saved.
