Opsix - Can I prevent my DAW from starting the internal sequencer?Updated a year ago

If you have the opsix connected to a DAW or an external hardware sequencer and you have set them up to output MIDI Clock along with other Realtime messages to it, it is likely that they will transmit a "Song Start" message every time you press play in your DAW/sequencer which will cause the opsix's internal sequencer to start playing.

There may be times when you may not want the opsix to behave this way and thankfully this is very simple to set up.

  1. Hold down the SHIFT button and press the EFFECT/GLOBAL button.
  2. Use the DATA ENTRY A knob to select “MIDI
  3. Use the DATA ENTRY B knob to select “Rx Transport
  4. Use the DATA ENTRY C knob to select “Off

That is it, the opsix will now ignore any Transport MIDI messages received so its built-in sequencer will only start when you use the sequencer transport buttons on its panel.
