Restoring Pa5X factory settings onlyUpdated 6 months ago
When new Pa5X system updates are released, new functionality and factory presets are often included.
Generally speaking, a factory restore is required after major updates so we always recommend creating a user data backup which can be reloaded after the update is complete.
One issue that can come up is that some of the new settings and presets included with the new update are then overwritten by the user data backup.
To restore the new settings whilst keeping your user data, please follow these steps:
- Go to the File -> Menu -> Factory Restore page.
- Ensure that only the Settings option is ticked and touch the Restore button to confirm.
This way, the Pa5X will keep your existing user data and restore the new factory settings introduced with the latest update.
